What Am I Making?

Photobucket

Let's play a game - it's called, "What in the Heck is Cat Making Now?" Look at the photo above and see if you can figure out what I'm making. Yes, those are granny squares but it's not your typical granny square blanket. So what is it? The only hint I'll give is that I've completed six out of twenty-seven rows, and the bottom row in the picture will be the bottom row in the blanket.

Leave your guesses in the comments and if I've already told you what it is, please keep it to yourself. If no one gets it, I'll continue to post more photos of my progress until someone figures it out.

Super Mario Bros. blanket would be my guess

I was going to say Mario as well. It's fits the pixelated feel of the Granny squares....

Y'all are fast, and correct! I had some guesses on Facebook of various animals, but no, it's a Super Mario pixel sprite blanket. It's going to be Raccoon/Tail/Leaf Mario. :)

That's what I would have guessed as well! It's the Pixelness of it all I think that gives it away! Can't wait to see the finished project! how big is each square?

Each square is about 2 1/4 inches and the total width is 4 1/2 feet. It will probably end up being about 5 feet long when it is finished. I only did two rounds on each granny square because I figured it would be huge if I did the usual three. There are 646 squares so even if I work fast, it's going to take a very long time to finish!
